Soldier Packages

Immediately following the outbreak of war in 2003, it became understood that the troops of Arkansas would be heading for either Iraq or Afghanistan. After their initial deployment, it was hard for many of the soldiers to get materials to make their efforts less stressful. Together along with many local and regional corporations, we established the first  drive to send Soldier Care Packages to the troops from Fort Chaffee as well as those who were from local communities. The first round of packages was dispersed during the spring of 2004. Within half a year two more rounds of the packages were sent overseas. This program caused many more package programs to spawn across the River Valley. Contents included candies, magazines, care products, flea collars, and various other items. Below are three letters and a picture sent back to express appreciation and to add other soldiers to the program.
